How to read the spread: each bar shows the interval containing the middle half of the industry's companies — from the lower quartile (P25) to the upper quartile (P75), with a mark at the median. A narrow bar means the companies cluster tightly around the median; a wide bar means scattered levels within the industry. The bars share a common scale per ratio across all industries, so they can be compared down the table.

How the median is computed
For each industry, the companies' values for the ratio are sorted; the median is the middle value (with an even count: the average of the two middle values). The median is chosen over the mean because single outlier companies cannot drag the number away. Missing data is never counted as zero — each ratio therefore reports its own observation count (n), and a median without a single observation is reported as missing. P/E and P/B are multiples; EBIT margin, FCF margin and revenue growth are shares of revenue, reported in percent. Raw data is retrieved from public market sources and dated by retrieval date.
What this is — and is not
This dataset is an educational reference and analysis aid: aggregates of public market data from a fixed, documented universe. It is not investment advice, not an invitation to buy or sell any stock, and not a measure of future returns. Always check the primary sources — the companies' own reports — before drawing conclusions.
