This premium is directly linked to investors' confidence in the company's strategy and management, making it a central parameter in the analysis.

The practical analysis begins with building a detailed model to calculate the net asset value. This includes carefully estimating the market value of each significant holding, including an assessment of any deviations from the stock exchange's valuation. For smaller holdings and other assets, a more simplified method is often used. In parallel with this quantitative analysis, the analyst must assess operational performance and strategic direction.

This includes evaluating how actively Investor manages its holdings, what decisions have been taken for the portfolio to develop over time, and how management communicates its vision to the market. A key activity is comparing the discount to book value over time and with peer companies in order to identify trends and market sentiment.

An effective application also involves analyzing the capital return policy. How much of the portfolio's value is reinvested and how much is returned to shareholders via dividends or share buybacks? This is a direct indicator of management's confidence in the future return from the portfolio. A portfolio with high growth potential may justify reinvestment, while a more mature portfolio may justify a higher dividend.
